Annual Gem & Mineral Show
The Payson Rimstones Rock Club hosts its Annual Gem & Mineral Show in September at the Mazatzal Hotel and Casino Event Center, on HWY 87 at mile marker 251, Payson AZ. The 2023 Annual Gem & Mineral Show will be September 15th through 17th.
Vendors: Gems, minerals, fossils, specimens, jewelry, cabochons, slabs that are rough or polished, and other rock-related art.
Education Center: We offer a Spinning Wheel (where everyone wins a rock), a magnificent fluorescent mineral display, a free Treasure Hunt for junior rock collectors, sandstone/rock painting, and much more. There are educational materials to take home, as well as a table for “Ask the Geologist” who identifies mystery rocks and fossils.
Auctions, Raffles and Door Prizes: Our show has an end-of-show raffle, a silent auction ending every 30 minutes and hourly door prizes.
Demonstrations: In 2022, we added daily demonstrations by artists who made jewelry, stone carvings and did wire-wrapping. Demonstrations are planned for all days of our 2023 show. Examples of some of the artisan works include (Click images below to view a larger version):

All our proceeds go toward supporting scholarships for graduating Payson High School seniors and students in Northern Gila County. Other funds go to local elementary schools and public libraries for books and other educational materials. The Payson Rimstones Rock Club, Inc is a 501(c)(3) non-profit.

Annual Spring Rock Show
The Payson Rimstones Rock Club also holds an annual spring rock show in a Payson-area shopping center parking lot. The 2023 show was on April 22nd in the east parking lot by Big Lots on Highway 260 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is FREE! This is an outdoor event. All are invited to come see what we and our vendors have for sale. Proceeds support STEM scholarships for graduating Payson High School students and students who are residents of Northern Gila County attending a college of their choice, as well as books and educational materials for the local elementary schools and public libraries.
