The Club began offering wire wrapping classes to members in 2024. The wire wrapping classes teach Club members how to artfully place wire around cabochons and other stone/fossil pieces to make beautiful jewelry. Several Club members have participated in these classes and have enjoyed learning a new skill.

Club member, Linda Marsh, held wire wrapping sessions for several years. Now Jodi Brewster is currently the class instructor. She works with each session participant to develop their skillset and ensure they have a good time. Everyone who attends the sessions has a great time learning a new skill and enjoys socializing with like-minded friends!

Education has always been a top priority for the Payson Rimstones. Members benefit from the Club’s vast amount of knowledge and interest. Linda and Jodi willingly share what they know with the Club!

As mentioned above… the wire wrapping sessions are offered to Club members only. There is a small fee to cover materials. The Club tries to have one wire wrapping session each month. Contact the class instructor at Rimstones Rock Club directly to get class details.

We hope you will find time to join one of the classes and see how much fun learning can be!

Recent Wire Wrapping Session Photos

August & September 2026

The August and September classes went well. Both wire wrapping sessions were beginner’s classes; everyone had fun learning something new. The August class worked on simple wire wrapping designs while the September class participants completed a simple beginner cabochon wire wrap heart pendant using one piece of round wire. The class participants completed two projects in both class sessions and it appears from the photos, they all had a knack for it. Everyone had a blast sharing wire techniques. Great job to both classes!

March 2026

During the March class, attendees made sun catchers with their wire wrapped stones (and other baubles).
